Students and families will have more access to affordable child care spaces and a new centre to train early childhood educators (ECE) at Capilano University (CapU) in North Vancouver.
Families throughout British Columbia continue to benefit from government investments in child care, as more families gain access to $10-a-day spaces and new child care centre projects are funded.
The decision by the Vancouver school district to end the supplement is "shocking and disgraceful," said Anastasia French, manager of Living Wage for Families B.C.
'We in Canada have to live with the tariffs, but the silver lining for us is that there has been much more cross-border interest,' said Gage Averill, UBC's provost and vice-president of academics.
